Description
Kalachakra incense takes its name from the Kalachakra tantra — the “Wheel of Time” teaching, translated from Sanskrit into Tibetan in 1027 AD and among the most revered cycles of instruction in Vajrayana Buddhism. The incense is formulated specifically to invoke the blessings and protection of the Kalachakra deity, who embodies the cycles of time, the journey toward enlightenment, and inner harmony.
The formulation is built on a base of red and yellow sandalwood — warm, grounding, and slow-burning — into which Himalayan cedar, Holy Basil (Tulsi), cardamom, nutmeg, Ruk-Keshar, and jasmine are blended. Each stick is hand-rolled using the coreless masala method: the botanical blend is mixed into a dough, then extruded and rolled by hand without a bamboo or wooden core.
Completely free of camphor, synthetic binders, and artificial fragrance. The scent profile is sandalwood-forward and distinctly floral from the jasmine — described by practitioners as a “heavenly” quality that distinguishes it from more pungent medicinal Tibetan blends. The sticks burn with intensity; many practitioners light a quarter stick at a time. This set of four boxes — 12 sticks per box, 48 sticks total — suits a sustained daily practice, or serves as a considered gift for a practitioner establishing a home altar or puja corner.
