Description
Potala Incense takes its name from the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet — the historic seat of the Dalai Lamas — and has become one of the most widely used traditional Tibetan herbal incense brands in Himalayan monastic and households. Within the Sowa Rigpa tradition, Dhupa (incense) functions as offering: smoke that carries prayer, clears a space of accumulated energy, and prepares the mind for practice.
Each stick is a coreless masala blend — hand-prepared and hand-rolled from Himalayan medicinal herbs including Rhodiola Rosea, musk grass, aged sandalwood, and saffron, with no bamboo or wooden centre.
The absence of camphor and artificial additives produces a clean, layered burn: rich earthy sandalwood beneath mild herbal depth and warm floral undertones. The Small Pack contains 21 sticks of approximately 14 cm; the Big Pack holds 18 longer sticks of approximately 25 cm. Both are non-toxic and non-habit forming.
Lit before morning puja, placed on a home altar, or burned during meditation, these sticks suit daily practice as naturally as occasional ceremony — a culturally grounded choice for Losar, a new home, or the beginning of a sadhana.
