Limbu women build their traditional look from the Mekhli — a long, graceful gown-like outer dress secured at the waist with a phai waistband and crowned with the patthang headdress. Limbu men wear the Taga, a long outer garment that falls to the knees, cinched by the phai waistband and completed with a paga turban wrapped firmly at the head.
