Plain-woven shirting cotton body; the Dhaka facings are loom-woven cloth, the motif built up thread by thread rather than printed on.
Motif
Traditional Dhaka geometry in a different palette on each colourway — the trim changes, the cut does not.

Soft shirting cotton, light on the shoulders and breathable through a long office day.
Drape
Holds a clean placket line without pressing stiff; softens with wear.

Cold hand wash. Dry flat in shade. Warm iron on the reverse, keeping direct heat off the Dhaka facings.

• Trim path: handwoven Dhaka runs the collar, the buttoned placket, the pocket edge and both cuffs

• Closure: straight half placket with buttons down the centre front

• Pocket: patch chest pocket on the left, capped in the same Dhaka cloth

• Silhouette: hip length with side vents and a plain back

This is the daura cut for the working week — the band collar and Dhaka accents of Nepal’s national shirt, rebuilt with a straight buttoned placket instead of the ceremonial wrap. The lines stay Nepali; the way you wear it is entirely everyday.

Each shirt is cut only after you order. The placket and pocket edge are faced in Dhaka by hand, and every piece is checked for fit, finishing and cultural accuracy before it ships. Each one is tailor-made to your measurements — after ordering, Bhutib contacts you directly to confirm fit and preferences.

It reads as smart-casual over chinos in the office, and it sits comfortably at a family gathering next to full traditional dress. If you want the ceremonial original, the wrap-front daura shirt with the curved Dhaka border is its elder sibling.

Questions people actually ask

Will it fit if I’ve never been measured?

Yes. Choose your usual size. Before we cut, we message you on WhatsApp for two numbers — your chest or bust at the fullest part, and your height — and adjust the pattern to you. A tape and two minutes is all it takes.

What if it doesn’t fit when it arrives?

We alter it free. Courier it back to us in Kalimpong (that leg is on you); we adjust it and pay the courier back to you. Or take it to a tailor near you — every piece is cut with margin for a small local adjustment.

Is there anything to pay on top of the price?

No. Delivery is free across India and the price includes tax, so the amount you see is the amount you pay. Two exceptions, both quoted before you order: a size above 4XL carries a small surcharge for the extra cloth, and a personal customisation beyond a standard size is confirmed with a 10% advance on the order; the rest is paid on delivery, as usual.

Can I cancel, or change the size or colour?

Before we cut, yes — tell us on WhatsApp and nothing is lost. After cutting, the piece is made to your measurements and cannot go back into stock; if it does not fit, we alter it free.

I’m buying for someone I can’t measure — what do I do?

Choose their usual size and add their WhatsApp number in the order notes. We confirm the rest with them, or with you, before we cut.

Need a size we do not list?

We cut it. Smaller than the smallest size shown, larger than the largest, and for babies and children too. Message us the measurements on WhatsApp; for a child we need chest, shoulder-to-foot length and sleeve length. Above 4XL the extra cloth carries a small surcharge, quoted before you pay.

Can it come faster?

Sometimes. Tell us your date before you order and, if a faster courier reaches your pincode, we quote the difference. Either way, tell us the date and we cut yours first.

Will it reach me before my date?

Allow 6–9 working days from the day you confirm your measurements, anywhere in India, a little longer for remote pincodes. Tell us the date in the order notes or on WhatsApp and we plan around it.

Do you ship outside India?

Not through this website yet; it ships within India only. Message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange it, or order from our Etsy shop, which ships worldwide with free shipping.

Is the colour the same as the photo?

The photos are of the actual cloth in daylight; screens differ a little. To be sure, ask us on WhatsApp for a photo of the cloth before we cut.
